After creating a successful pension investment management service in Osprey Investments, it was purchased by BF&M Limited and amalgamated into North Atlantic Asset Management Ltd.. There she had direct oversight for investment selection, trading relationships with international custodians, and on-going communication with the 12,000 members.

Beginning in 2000, joined the Board of Age Concern and their first Managing Director, Claudette Fleming, to explore issues of healthcare and housing. This lead to the Community Health Consortium established by Mark Selley, which dealt with healthcare and caregiving. Horner also assisted the Aerie Foundation with fund-raising as they worked to expand home-care service in Bermuda. Cindy Swan of Project Action approached Horner to serve as Treasurer. Through these activities, Horner is knowledgeable of the gambit of surrounding seniors: housing, long-term care, financing methodologies, home care, and transportation.

Horner’s experience extends to real estate asset management and mortgage analysis whereby she valued real estate holdings for insurance companies such as Pacific Mutual and Continental Life. Horner is distinguished with as a Certified Financial Planner- CFP® - US, is a CFA Level I Candidate, and has a MBA-Finance from the Seidman College of Business, GVSU in Allendale, Michigan. She is a recognized writer on Financial Matters and has served the Bermuda Community as Trustee of the SPCA Trust and Chair of Cap-a-Laige Ltd- Charities House. She is also active in the yachting community as a member of the RBYC and BYRA Race Committee.
